I did it. Step 1 of painting our powder room makeover is done. I chose the color sea spray by glidden and it is gorgeous. To be in a safer side, i went with Glidden Duo Eggshell. It does saves a lot of time.
My to-do list is growing bigger everyday. We are living in our house for 8 years now but didn’t paint a single room yet, first my older one was a toddler that time and now my little one ,so waiting for her be done with making “artwork” on the walls : ). But i have a plan to paint rooms one at a time. First is the powder room and the next thing on the list is to make a gallery wall and make foyer look little bit more attractive. As of now it looks like this, not attractive at all.
I have thousands of paint swatches from different stores : ). Love each and every one but i like the most is the Pebble Grey by Glidden for this spot. I’m hoping it will give the sophisticated look over all.
I’m always hunt for new and different things. Ever since i saw beaded runner/rug on the home decor magazines ,i’m in LOVE with it. But didn’t want to splurge $$$ so an idea popped right away why not to do it myself one for the fraction of the cost.
A trip to the craft store to buy doilies paper cut, yes you heard me right doilies : ) ,since this is of a trial and error kind of a project, didn’t mind paying couple of dollars : ). I have the other materials like paint, pearls, rhinestones and other beads handy.
After playing around with the pattern, decided to go with the simpler one. (Sorry no pic). And then the fun begins with painting : ).
In the blog world, before and afters are the most interesting thing to see as how the place gets transformed into something new and fresh.
I would like to add a before and after too. The first project is to transform my powder room. Since this will be my first painting ever too, kind of excited and nervous.
As of now it is like this :
